I had trouble getting generic phone mounts to work in my A3, and this solution works great. The instructions for removing the vents could be more detailed. I ended up using the base from this product with the cradle from a previous generic mount; the ball & socket connection was nicely compatible.

setting up the bracket was quite easy, watched a YT video and it was just that simple. holds my phone easily and firm and I can simply rotate the phone to have it vertically or horizontally mounted on the magsafe.
