Super easy install even for me 52,F. Used the tool provided to gently lever vents and button out of the dash. Very sturdy. I have a phone cover on with a holding ring on the back on my phone, which makes attaching the magnet on the outside impossible. Tried to put the bigger magnet it comes with two inside the cover, and although it does hold the phone I'm not convinced it would withstand English potholes. So I opted to screw on the cradle. It's quite tight and just about fits to hold my Samsung Note 20. Not a one handed operation to get it into the cradle, but once it's in it doesn't budge, which is the main thing. I still have the option to change to the magnet should I go for a different phone cover, as easily interchangeable. Would I recommend? Definitely. Having the windscreen free of unsightly plastic cradles is superb. And it feels just rock solid. Well worth the money.

My son got this for me, and I LOVE it! My son picked the version with the interchangeable holder knob, because I use the magnet, and my husband uses the clamp, so it is perfect for both of us, and very easy to change. I found a few YouTube videos for installation, and after I watched them, I worked my courage up...and installation was easy as pie! I used a frosting spreader to help pry the vents loose. My arthritic 70 yr old fingers needed a little help! It was VERY easy to install, and it is incredibly easy and convenient to use! I just LOVE it!!

Wow, just received this today, and it's a great piece of kit. Was shipped the day after the order via Canada Post and arrived to me in the UK 14 days later as advertised. What can I say? It is extremely minimal and fits perfectly. This is my first time using anything 'magsafe'. I bought a PITAKA Case for my Samsung S23 Plus and it fits very securely. With the screen on bright and using navigation, it still manages to charge the phone, about 3% every 15 minutes - I'm sure it would be a lot more if the phone was ideal with the screen off. 5 stars.

The MagSafe charging with swivel for the A3 is brilliant! Fits beautifully on the dash like an OEM part, swivel direction and strength can be adjusted to every tiny rotation you want. This is important for face recognition to open your phone without turning your body at a weird angle. With the included ring put on the back of my iPhone 13 the magnet is insanely strong so it won’t jiggle or fall off. Also Carl was incredibly helpful and fast in helping me decide what to get. So happy with this- I went for the most expensive combo but it’s the right choice because then there is no fiddling with cables and you don’t need to think of charging it separately. Love love it.

Absolutely love this phone holder!It was super easy to install on my Audi A3. It came with two phone magnets. I opted to not adhere mine directly to my phone case but rather put it between my case and my phone so I can change cases the magnet is so strong it never slides or moves once placed. I love being able to hop in the car and just literally slap my phone on the mount. No ratchet or buttons to adjust. The swivel base of the mount makes moving my phone a breeze. As others have stated this is a great product ok a little expensive but perfect for the job, I used some plastic pry tools to get the vents out which were well gripped into the dashboard, the swivel mount then fitted like a glove and looks great. Very satisfied with the results. My my iPhone 13 mini with MagSafe case sticks tightly to the mount and doesn’t block the air vents as other mounts do.So if you’re looking for a3 car mount…..just buy it you’ll have no regrets well recommended.

This mount is awesome!! It arrived 1 week early AND fits perfectly on my 2019 TT. Installation was easy - it takes more force than you think to loosen the left air vent. I was nervous about the mount holding the weight of my iPhone 12 Pro Max especially since I didn’t see any reviews, but the magnets are strong and the pivot ball holds my phone with/without a Mag-Safe case Apple leather case really sturdily. It is a little awkward to tighten the joint once mounted to the car, but it isn’t difficult at all. 10/10 recommend buying this if you have a newer iPhone mine also came with the grip/tension mount so you can pair it with non Mag-Safe phones too. Fair warning the magnet is bigger than it looks in the picture but it is by no means too big — perhaps it’s for added strength. Overall, it functions and looks great!!

After a decade of propping my phone up in the ashtray of my A3 8P to look at maps- then having it slide on to the passenger floor taking a curve, I finally broke down and searched for a decent phone mount. I have tried the vent mounted brackets and they either fall out, flop around or break the louvres in my air vents. I ordered this Clear mount as the design looked quite clever in the pictures. It came today and I mounted it in less than 60 seconds- no joke! The vents came out by prying then out with my fingernails if you have weak nails- use a plastic pry tool to get them started and the new mount was on and vents back in within seconds…seriously- seconds. I use an Otterbox case and I learned with my wife’s mount that the magnet isn’t strong enough through the thick case, but the round disc stuck to the outside back of my Otterbox is unobtrusive, holds perfectly and sticks right on to the magnet. This is the solution we have been waiting for.

I ordered one of the Clearmounts for my S3, and it has been the best mount in a car that I have ever used. I have a large screened iPhone with a very protective case making it somewhat heavy, and all the other mounts I have tried using magnets etc. have never worked until I tried a Clear mount. Since the car is very performance-oriented, and I drive it as such, the phones would always work themselves out of a cradle but the Clearmount is rock-solid and my phone has not moved. Fast forward almost 1.5 years later and one of the rubber ends on the mount fell off. I inquired to Clearmount to obtain another piece of rubber for the right side of the mount and they offered to send me another cradle mount for free if I paid for shipping Canada to US. When I received the new cradle mount I was very surprised they had sent me 3 additional ones gratis. Also, the new mount has a better design and has a slight lip at the top of the rubber ends to ensure the phone never leaves the holder regardless of how hard you corner. The customer service here has been exemplary and the owner Carl even replied to one of my emails. By far the best custom-designed car mounts for an Audi 3 series that is available, and I have done extensive research and spent quite a bit trying other mounts and having them fail before I found Clearmount.

The air vent slats broke after using a phone holder and so out of my frustration went looking for a better solution. Then I found clearmounts...just repaired my vent slats and installed this mount. After weeks of searching, I had given up on finding a usable phone mount for my Audi. Having given my wife a nice little vent-clip magnetic phone mount for Christmas, I was resigned to a sadder fate for my own phone: leaving it down in the cupholder under the dash, acceptable but not particularly effective. The day after Christmas, in a final act of desperation, I searched for 'phone mount for Audi A3 e-tron'. I was stunned to see that there we custom mounts for Audi vehicles.It didn't take long to determine Clearmounts was the superior - and truly ideal - solution. I ordered one immediately. Installation was simple if not exactly a breeze I had just trimmed my fingernails, so the first 1/8 of vent removal required assistance from a plastic ruler. As expressed in many reviews, and independently by my friend the next time I drove him to lunch, it really looks like it was meant to be part of the car. It holds my Pixel 3a firmly through a case, and it places the phone in a perfect location. As an engineer, I'm not sure I could have designed it better myself. Very nicely done.

First I'd like to say I looked all over the Internet for a mount that I can put in my 2016 Audi TTS so many were trying to sell me one that Clips onto the vents but anybody knows the 2016 Audi TTS understand that they are a turbine style vent that are very deep and can't be clipped onto very well. They typically end up falling off! The other option I found was similar to this one but made out of flimsy plastic no go there it felt like it would break with the first hard impact and everyone knows TTS's ride quite harshly. So when I received this one in the mail was quite surprised to see how sturdy it was made, very strong metal with a nice coating that mimicked what the Dash looks like in between the two vents. my Samsung S10+ is very large heavy and the magnets can easily hold it in place without falling once and I drive on a highway with heavy construction with extremely rough areas! I love this new new Mount with the versatility having two different ways to hold the phone in place my only disappointment is that you don't make a mount for my Audi S4 thank you so much for making such a quality product. I look forward to doing business with Clearmounts again...

Took me a while to move the vent out enough to slip the plate behind it in my TT, but that’s probably because my hands aren’t very big to grip it!I’ve only used the cradle attachment so far, but it works really well with my iPhone.

I got the swivel mount so I can use the magnet mount for my phone or swap it out for the cradle mount whenever my girlfriend wants to mount her phone bigger screen = better for SatNav. Holds my phone still even on bumpy roads and the magnet works great. It's thin enough that I've placed it under my phone case and it's still very strong even through the case. Fantastic product. It was a quick and easy installation in my 2018 RS3. It is barely noticeable when not in use but an extremely secure hold on my phone when in use. It is also very well made. I had other phone holders made of cheap plastic which the phone or the holder fell off the dash while I was driving. I have had this model for a month or so and even with many of the rough roads of California, the phone stays put. Not the cheapest holder on the market, but I believe it is the best you can buy for your Audi.

I had to check the cradle fitted my Samsung Galaxy s7 edge as it is not clear on the web site how the cradle fits your phone, but it is spring loaded and adjusts to fit your phone.Looks great and was simple to install.So much better than hanging something from your air vent or using suckers on your windscreen.Thumbs up for this product.

Installation was a little tricky - it’s a bit daunting removing fixtures and fittings from your new car! The instructions and videos are predominately for left-hand drive, and being a Brit meant I had to reverse everything! But I muddled through and managed to secure the mount and put things back, so it all looked seamless.And...it’s awesome! Charges my phone wirelessly with the Qi pad and looks great whether my phone is in there or not. Hugely recommended for Audi drivers as it solves a problem in style.

It was a bit disconcerting pulling out the air vents to fit this but that in balance makes it well integrated and secure. The wireless charging is great but a little temperamental with my iPhone 8 fine with X, 8 is a bit small. Overall no regrets and I would recommend this product.

Simply the best. I was looking everywhere online for a sleek looking phone mount. I came across this one from watching a youtube video. My audi a3 has a wierd dash with no real place to mount the phone. Clearmount is genious...right in between the vents. The vents were easy to remove and reinstall with the clearmount. With its positioning it prevented me from getting into a car accident. I was looking at my phone for directions as it was mounted. I saw an object on the road and steered to avoid it. If my phone wasnt mounted where it was, I would have crashed. The mount has paid for itself over and over.

Received my order very promptly and have used it for about a month now.Opted to use the cradle holder instead of the magnetic mount because:- although the latter was able to hold my device a Samsung Note 9, it didn\t allow for a more ergonomic driver-facing angle- and if I had to type messages or use any other operation that required quick successive and precise taps, the device would be prone to swiveling on its anchor, increasing the risk of distraction- happy to say that the cradle holder provided the security I was looking for and was able to accommodate the width of my note 9 with its protective shell despite it being one of the widest smartphones on the marketAlthough this is a more expensive option compared to local knockoffs, I\m happy with its simple low profile design and sturdy build that doesn\t cheapen the interior look and feel of a luxury vehicle.

I tried a simple magnetic vent mount that had work well in my previous car but it just didn\t look right or work well enough A plastic tie wrap holding it in place was not a good look. The clearmount was a great way of maintaining good looks whilst also keeping the vent buttons free and visible. The online fitting videos were easy to follow and had the mount fitted in under 10 mins. The magnet is strong and the metal finish on the mount blends in to the TT dashboard. Solid aluminium I think construction, great design that suits the style and design of the A3 interior, and best of all - this doesn\t block one of the air vents like most phone holders! The very first thing I ordered for my 2019 RS3. High-quality materials and sturdy design. I use the magnet mount option and my phone stays put. Swivel doesn\t move at all once you lock it down. Installation took 2 minutes. I\d recommend you use an interior trim tool to protect your dash and vent finish when removing the vents, but you could probably finagle it with bare hands too. Great product that fills a real gap.

Very happy with my phone holder. Solid construction, blends into the dash seamlessly with the air vent support structure. Quality finish and workmanship and very easy to fit.No issues with magnetic connection/strength. I was very disappointed that with my new Audi I could no longer use my magnetic vent holder for my phone, it was something I needed. After some research I found clearmounts discussed on a few local forums, I wasn’t totally sold but watching the videos they looked to be a solid option. I ordered one sight unseen and was glad to see the delivery would be quick given it’s international. A few days later my holder arrived. I’d not watched and videos on how to install but on my drive back from the post office to home at one set of lights I installed it. It was amazingly simple and the end result was as clean as the stock air vents being in their original place. In short this is the best phone holder I’ve ever used. It’s solid, sturdy and my hefty phone doesn’t move in its place at all. It wasn’t the cheapest but it’s the best. Install was amazingly easy and shipment was prompt. Couldn\t bring myself to install an ugly cell phone holder mount in my beautiful new car... SO glad I found you guys! Installation took a little longer than I wanted but that was mostly me being scared of damaging the air vents-- Had to use a plastic knife to help jimmy the vent apart from the dash, and it took a little elbow grease to get the vents back in but the end product looks amazing. Tried a few different mounts for this car, which were nothing compared to this master piece. This product looks nice, is easy to install and feels premium. People which own an Audi with these kind of ventilation ducts should really buy this mount. Just a tip for removing the ducts: in the movie it looks like you can pull out the ducts easily with your nails/hands. In my car the ducts were not so easy to remove. I used a small flat scoop and gently pushed the ducts out. Pushing from left/right/top/bottom. Be careful not do damage the interior of course, but this will save your nails trying to get the duct out. BE GENTLE!I am very pleased with the purchase. Also, the phone doesn\t vibrate while driving, it stays very stable with the magnet. the magnet also works through the original apple case for the Iphone. I ordered this and the wireless Qi charging cradle. Love it so far, with the right usb charger I get fast charging without issue or fumbling for cords. No more metal plates on my phone case that prevent wireless charging, have to be replaced due to glue failure, or fall of the mount by accidentally bumping the phone when reaching for my coffee cup. The only negative I can think of is that I would prefer if the swivel was a bit tighter, but out of the box it is adequate and my phone does not move on its own while driving.

The swivel mount seems like it would be nice too, although obviously a bit more visible. One thing, the low-profile mount makes it hard to place your phone horizontally. If you need to view your phone horizontally a lot in the car then I\d go with the swivel mount.

Absolutely perfect! My wife had given me a different magnetic iPhone holder, but it only fit air vents with horizontal slats. Audi A3 has circular vents with wheel-and-spoke slats, so it couldn’t seat properly. This one is custom designed for the car, takes 3 minutes to install, looks like unobtrusive original equipment, holds securely in the perfect viewing position, and doesn’t obstruct the air vents.

Bought my Audi TT a few months ago and there really is no good storage place for a phone at all. I saw a video for the Clearmount and was in awe. Really an ingenious design, but works perfectly. Install is very easy, like 2 minutes. And when you put the phone on it, it does not obstruct any of the view out of the windshield at all either. Great product, definitely recommend to anyone.

Mount arrived yesterday. I don't normally bother to review things but this is bloody brilliant. I was a bit nervous about messing with the air vents etc but taking it slow I sorted in about 10 minutes. How simple!!! And it looks the part - using the magnet as I've only got an old iPhone 6 so ok with the back sticker. Absolutely top notch and so much better than Apple Car Play which I'd have had to pay £400 to retro fit.

Excellent phone holder, I can’t believe I waited 3 years to purchase it. It places the phone in a very accessible area so I can shout “Hey Siri” as necessary the cabriolet doesn’t have the functioning voice button. I also use it for navigation every day on my moderately long commute and it beats the heck out of having to look down and be obstructed by any drink in the cup holder. This product shipped really quickly and was extremely easy to install. I was thinking it would be a little more complicated to remove the vents but they are just a pressure fit so a credit card around the edges and a light pull and you are good to go. The tolerance on the vent rings is very nice keeping the mount level. The holder is pretty stiff to open to get your phone in but the good part of that is that your phone wont fall out. Love that i can easily rotate from vertical to horizontal for switching between music and navigation. Honestly a must have for the Audi TT as it has no center console and no real good spot to even hold a phone let alone be able to see it safely while driving.

Upgraded from VW Polo to Audi A3 and found that my Spigen magnetic mount would not work due to the shape of vents. Clearmounts fit perfectly my 2000 Audi TT. Highly recommend the mount with the QI Wireless Gravity Cradle Charger feature which perfectly holds my iPhone Xs and quickly recharges. Qi charger solves my long-standing issue that my 2000 TT was not factory equipped with any USB ports and only a single 12V cigarette lighter always on connection, so a 12v to USB converter worked but was not practical, first the charging cable would not allow closing the ashtray and interfered with the stick shift and second I needed to unplug the converter every time I turned off the car or it would drain my battery. Bought both the low profile one as well as the swivel magnetic holder. I must say that after the Q2, this was my best buy! Love how the phone sits in between the air vents and doesn't block any air flow nor does my phone freezes up as compared to normal air vent mounts.
